Hi guys, Just bought my Audiobox, and hooked it up through Garageband. Garageband recognizes the Audiobox, and asks me if that's the interface I want to use. But there's no sound coming through. In fact, the option to adjust recording levels is not even lit up/active for me to adjust. I've tested sound through the Audiobox itself by plugging my headphones in directly. It works. It's just not getting sound into the computer. Anyone know why or how to help? I need to record in two days thanks Scott

First off make sure you have the latest drivers from the download site. After that do you have core audio setup to use the ABUSB as the primary interface?

also, don't forget the front panel knob labeled 'mixer'. Make sure you've got it set to Playback.

| I'm on a Mac, so there are no drivers to download...at least that what the pdf instructions said, and I don't see nay on the website. What is the core audio? I've gone to System Preferences, then Sound, and set the ABUSB as the 'device for sound input'. And when you say to set the Mixer knob for Playback, does that mean that it just needs to be turned all the way to the right? Or is just a partial turn ok? I've turned it all the way to the right. I've done these things you suggest, and still nothing.

Try playing back audio in another application, like itunes!! If that works, its most likely a setup issue in Garageband and we can go from there.

Same as the above folks. Make sure the mixer knob is set to playback and try to run a music program like tunes. You use the knobs on the front to adjust your levels. There most likely won't be control in core audio.

I believe I am also having this issue. I've tried what was written above and it didn't work. My problem is that in the bottom right hand corner or garage band there is a bar that says 'recording level.' I am unable to move this bad with the audio box. When i use the built in mic the bar works just fine. Garage band acknowledges the audio box as a microphone but it still wont record any sound. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem, no sound. I also found the I cannot listen to any previous tracks that I have recorded when the audio box usb is hooked up. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

I went to system preferences for my iMac and clicked on sound and selected the audio box usb tab and it told me that there were no input controls for that device. Still cannot figure out how to make it work.

I'm not a Mac user so I really can't offer much in that regard. Core Audio is set to use the audiobox as the primary audio device for both input and playback? Once that's done you should be able to get iTunes to play out of it.

I talked to Sweetwater Sound tech support and they helped me with my problem. As usual it was very simple. After plugging in the audio box to garage band, you must select the mono audio in one or two depending on which channel you are plugged into on the box. Then if you want to hear your instrument, you must plug your head phones into the box also. You can change the monitor setting to use the garage band settings if you have permanent monitors plugged in to your computer. I made these changes and everything works great. Always a simple fix it seems. Thank you Sweetwater Sound.

Glad they helped out. It would have taken me a while to get to that point.
