  • Smart editing tools – Three configurable tools: Harmonics, Frequency, and Area, predict what your desired selection should be. Dial them in to highlight only what you need, quickly, cleanly, and intuitively.
  • Layer to layer copy and paste – SpectraLayers Pro takes audio copy and paste functionality into whole new dimensions. Shuttling blocks of sound between layers can be used in analysis and repair tasks as well as for radically creative arranging and rearranging of sound.
  • View, modify and draw tools – SpectraLayers Pro turns sound into a three-dimensional world of eye candy that can be entered and operated on using configurable tools.
  • Audio extraction – You’re never more than three steps away from a new audio layer in SpectraLayers Pro.
  • VST effects – VST effects can be applied to individual layers. SpectraLayers Pro can also pass whole layers, and even bandwidth-limited selections from within layers, directly to other dedicated audio editing programs like Sound Forge Pro.
  • Noise reduction – comprehensive noiseprint-based noise reduction.
  • Recording audio – Record directly into as many new layers as you need. Replace audio in any selected layer with newly recorded audio.

SpectraLayers Pro is available now for Mac & Windows and Mac for US $374.95. A demo version is available.

The BPM (beats per minute) of a song isn't something you can easily calculate despite the number of online programs available. BPM Analyzer is a small application that allows you to find out, as its name suggests, the number of beats per minute of a song. The program functions very simply: you only have to download the music file that you want to analyze it will have, in under a minute, a list of the results.

Steinberg SpectraLayers audio cleaning (vs iZotope RX)

Spectralayers Pro 6 Torrent

Hi guys
We are doing a lot of recording on-site (usually of solo piano, or piano with one other instrument) in locations where there are ambient noises. These noises can be anything from cars passing, or birds tweeting - through to (sometimes) aircraft overhead.
We used iZotope RX for a few months using a rental option, and the results were very good. We were able to us its spectral editing to pull out specific unwanted sounds, without and perceptible harm to the actual audio we wanted to keep. It even worked for exposed acoustic piano, which was very pleasing.
I'm now looking to but a spectral editing tool, and have seen that Steinberg offer SpectraLayers - which integrates with ARA within Cubase for seamless editing. It seems to feature the same spectral editing functionality as RX.
I'm keen to hear from anyone who might have used SpectraLayers. Is it effective? Have you compared it to RX, and is there any difference between the results you can get from the two tools?
Any first-hand experience and thoughts would be very much appreciated!
Cheers,
Mike
