After the LogMeIn fiasco, I begrudgingly switched to TeamViewer, which was the recommended alternative. I had LogMeIn for years and it really was consistently reliable and I always was able to access my machines remotely.
I installed TeamViewer and it's definitely not as slick. I have to set a separate password and there's no integration (at least for Mac) with the local account system. I used to be able to just access logmein.com and connect to my machine. I set up TeamViewer for 'unattended access' and created the password, but I am finding when I am away that I need to actually SSH to my machine before TeamViewer shows my machine as online. WTF? That's like completely useless. Is anyone else seeing that if you're not currently at the machine and I guess the screensaver or monitor is asleep that your machine shows as offline?
