WineBottler allows users to bottle Windows applications as Mac apps. Wine has always been popular among Linux users for running Windows programs, but Wine is available for Mac, too - and now, free utility WineBottler can 'bottle' Windows programs into separate application bundles that run as standalone Mac apps. Mar 29, 2020 The Wine developers provide the source code which you can compile yourself or you can use some of the unofficial binaries. Probably the most popular Wine binary release is Mike Kronenberg’s Wine.app which you can find Wine.app page. Additionally, you can use the Darwine team build which can be downloaded from the Darwine page.

This is the current development branch of Wine. The name is a bit misleading as it is superior to the stable build in most aspects. If your program is laking some functionality under wine, this is the version to go with, as it is evolving very fast. Check back often to download the most recent version. One of the big news is, that it does not need X11 anymore.
The current stable branch of Wine. It is usually very static and only receiving very few updates. If your program runs with it, it is a great way of having a solid base to use your apps on.
This is the last 'complete' version of Wine for OS X Tiger. You can use this version of WineBottler together with the 1.4.0 and the 1.4.1 No-Audio-Build on OS X Tiger (see below). Wine is no longer actively developed for OS X Tiger.
WineConf Call for Hosts

This is a call for proposals to host the next WineConf sometime this year. Ideally proposals would present;
- Proposed dates
- Proposed city
- Information on potential venues and travel
We'll need to choose a host relatively quickly as it does take time to plan and book the event. I'm hoping we can settle on a host by the end of February but ultimately that decision goes to the Wine Committee. Questions, comments, concerns can be posted on the WineConf mailing list. A draft of a guide to hosting has been started on the wiki [1]. Please take a look to get a sense of what is involved in hosting the conference.

- Builtin libraries use the new UCRTBase C runtime.
- Compatibility mode used when reporting Windows version.
- Better support for debug information in PE files.
- Support for linguistic case mappings.

- Various bug fixes.
